Julia Iwanciw-Gasior was born on 12 August 1997 in Szczecin. She started to learn the violin at the age of 7 with her father Wladimir Iwanciw. She has studied with Prof. Marcin Baranowski in the State Music School in Stargard Szczeciński since 2010.
She was awarded numerous prizes and honourable mentions at music competitions:

  • 1st Prize at the Provincial Competition “Violin for Champions” 2006 in Szczecin
  • 3rd Prize at the Provincial Competition “Violin for Champions” 2008 in Szczecin
  • Honourable mention at the 2nd Tournament for Young Violinists in Nysa 2008
  • 1st Prize at the Provincial Competition “Violin for Champions” 2009 in Szczecin
  • 2nd Prize at the Provincial Competition in Stargard Szczecinski in 2009
  • Honourable Mention at the All-Polish Auditions of Primary Music School Pupils in Warsaw in 2009
  • Honourable Mention at the J. S. Bach All-Polish Competition in Zielona Gora 2009
  • 1st Prize at the Provincial Violin Competition in Pyrzyce in 2010
  • 3rd Prize at All – Polish Violin Festival Kielce 2012 Poland
  • 1st Prize 10th Violin Competition Zielona Gora 2014 Poland
  • 2nd Prize 7th Internationaler Malchower Kirchenpreis 2015 Germany
  • Distinction 4th All Polish Competition in Kielce 2016
  • Distinction 4th All Polish Competition in Cieszyn, Poland 2016
