Katarzyna Olszewska was born on 30 January 1995 in Poznan. In 2002 She started learning to play the violin under Anna Sliwa in Mieczyslaw Karlowicz School of Music in Krakow. Currently she is studying in Henryk Wieniawski Secondary School of Music in Poznan under professor Marcin Baranowski.

    • distinction for the performance of „Magiczny waz” (Magical snake) by Krzysztof Szwajgier – I Festival of Contemporary Music for Children and Youth Srebrna Szybka (Krakow)
  • 2006:
    • 1st Prize in category of chamber music ensembles and 2nd Prize as solo performer – II Festival of Contemporary Music for Children and Youth Srebrna Szybka (Krakow)
    • 2nd Prize – III Violin Competition in Nysa
    • 2nd Prize – Janina Garscia Competition (Stalowa Wola)
    • 2nd Prize – 32nd Bach Competition in Zielona Gora
  • 2007:
    • 1st Prize – Bohdan Warchal International Competition „Talents for Europe” (Dolny Kubin)
    • 3rd Prize – 49th Kocian International Violin Competition (Usti nad Orlici)
  • 2008:
    • 1st Prize ex aequo – II T.Wronski Solo Competition for Young Violinists (Tomaszow Mazowiecki)

In 2008 she had appearances with Chamber Orchestra of Krakowska Mloda Filharmonia directed by Tomasz Chmiel and with orchestra Archi di Slovakia
