Zofia Wasilenko was born in 2004 in Magadan (Russian Federation). Between 2011 and 2015, she learned the violin with Vladimir Batyrev MA at the Central Music School in Magadan. Between 2015 and 2020, she continued her education at the Special Music School in Novosibirsk with Elena Baskina MA. In 2020, she was enrolled at the Poznan School of Music, where she currently studies with Prof. Marcin Baranowski and his assistant Joanna Kreft MA.

She was awarded prizes in numerous violin competitions, such as:

  • 1st Prize at the All-Russian Competition “Young Talents”, 2014
  • 1st Prize at the International Competition “By the Way of Good”, Russia 2015
  • 1st Prize at the 2nd International Competition “Spring of Russia”, 2017
  • 1st Prize at the 3rd International Competition “Art. – Siberiada”, 2018
  • 1st Prize at the 9th International Competition, Serbia 2018
  • 3rd Prize at the 7th J. M. Komarov All-Russian String Competition, 2018
  • Grand Prix at the International Competition “Golden Time”, USA 2019
  • 2nd Prize at the International String Competition “French Winter”, France 2020
  • Laureate of National Competition at the FORTE Festival, Poland 2020
  • 2nd Prize International Competition Viva-Music All World, Nowy Jork, USA, 2021
  • 2 nd Prize at All-Polish Violin Competition „Jak Wieniawski” in Lublin,
    Poland 2021

She participated in master classes, where her teachers were, among others: A. Lundin, A. Trostianski, A. Shustin, M. Baranowski, G. Murja.
