Marcisz Paulina

 

Born on 14 March 1993 in Wroclaw. She started to learn the violin at the age of 7, at the Karol Szymanowski Primary and Secondary Music School in Wroclaw with Andrzej Woznica MA. She graduated in 2012 with honours. Presently she studies with Prof. Marcin Baranowski and his assistant Joanna Kreft at the Academy of Music in Poznan.

Prizes and honourable mentions at competition for soloists and chamber musicians:

  • 3rd Prize – 3rd All-Polish Tournament for Young Violinists in Nysa, 2006
  • 1st Prize in the category of chamber ensembles within the German–Polish Piano Competition “Hiller”, Goerlitz/Zgorzelec, 2006
  • 3rd Prize – 15th All-Polish Competition of Chamber Ensembles, Bystrzyca Klodzka, 2006
  • Honourable Mention at the 8th All-Polish Auditions of Chamber Ensembles, Jawor 2006
  • 2nd Prize at the Duet Competition within the 13th International Festival of Guitar Music, Trzesacz 2010
  • 1st Prize – International Auditions of Chamber Ensembles, Jawor 2010
  • 2nd Prize – Macroregional Auditions of Chamber Ensembles, Warszawa 2010

  • 1st Absolut Prize at the  6th  International Competition of Music Interpretation  „Euterpe” Roma Italy 2015
  • Scholarship of Minister of Science and Higher Education Republic of Poland for outstanding achievements, 2014/2015
  • 1st Prize – VIII International Guitar Competition in Olsztyn in 3rd group ( chamber music) 2016
  • 1st Prize International Guitar Competition in Chamber Music Category Olsztyn, Poland 2016
  • 2nd Prize – International Music Competition  Grand Prize Virtuoso Londyn 2017
  • Grand Prix 13rd International Music Competition  „Art Duo” violin category, Gyor, Hungary 2017

  • 1st Prize – 2nd  International Karol Szymanowski String Quartet Competition  – Katowice, Poland 2017
  • two special Prizes with the New Music Quartet – International Chamber Music Competition, Graz – Austria 2018
  • Laureate of “Young Poland” Scholarship, Poland 2018

She was awarded scholarship by the Mayor of Wroclaw. She participated in violin master classes in Kolobrzeg and Busko-Zdroj, with Prof. Wiesław Kwasny, Prof. Jan Stanienda, Prof. Bartosz Bryla and Prof. Marcin Baranowski.
