Magdalena Turek (born 1998) started to learn violin at the age of six at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski State Primary Music School with Irena Wojtowicz MA. In 2011 she graduated from the Wladyslaw Zelenski State Secondary Music School in Krakow where she studied with Katarzyna Balas MA. She presently studies with Prof. Marcin Baranowski and PhD Maxima Sitarz-Wawrzyniak at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n

She is a laureate of the following prizes:<\/p>\n

  • 3rd prize in the junior section and the award for the best participant from Malopolska \u2013 4th Polish Groblicz Family Violin Competition in Krakow 2013<\/li>\n
  • 3rd prize \u2013 9th Polish Competition of Young Instrumentalists in Jaslo 2013<\/li>\n
  • 3rd prize \u2013 3rd Polish Violin Festival in Kielce 2014<\/li>\n
  • 3rd prize \u2013 13th International Violin Competition \u2018Young Paganini\u2019 in Legnica 2015<\/li>\n

  • 3rd Prize ex-aequo at the 15th K. Lipinski and H. Wieniawski International Competition in Lublin 2021<\/li>\n
  • 2nd Prize ex aequo – VI International Ernst and Szymanowski Violin Competition in Wroclaw 2021<\/li>\n
  • 3rd\u00a0 Prize – The North International Music Competition 2021<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    She participated in masterclasses led by Prof. Marcin Baranowski, Prof. Kaja Danczowska, Prof. Arkadiusz Kubica, Prof. Wieslaw Kwasny, Prof. Stephan Picard, Prof. Pawel Radzinski, Prof. Benjamin Schmid, Prof. Jan Stanienda, Prof. Piotr Tarcholik, Prof. Edward Zienkowski. Magdalena performed as a soloist with the Fresco Sonare youth orchestra under the baton of Monika Bachowska. She participated in festivals such as Music in Old Krakow, Wawel at Dusk, International Music Festival \u2019Emanacje\u2019, The Krystyna Jamroz International Music Festival in Busko-Zdr\u00f3j. As a member of the Cracow Youth Chamber Orchestra, she performed in Ukraine, the USA, Israel, Norway, Iceland, Russia, France.
