Wezner is the winner of a number of international chamber music competitions: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">St Martin\u2019s <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chamber Music Competition (2011, London \u2013 1st prize), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">16 Premio Trio di Trieste <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(2015, Triest \u2013 3rd prize), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Academie de Musique de Lausanne <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(2015, Lausanne \u2013 laureate), the 50th International Vocal Competition \u2018s-Hertogenbosch (2014, Holland \u2013 laureate of the Lied Duo category) as well as the 17th International Kiejstut Bacewicz Chamber Music Competition in \u0141odz (2010 \u2013 3rd prize). He won the best pianist awards at the vocal competitions in Warsaw (2007), Katowice (2008), \u0141odz (2009), Sopot (2010), and Cze\u0328stochowa (2013). As a soloist, he won the Special Prize at 6th International I.J. Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz (2004) as well as an Honorary Mention at the 15th International L. Jan\u00e1c\u030cek Piano Competition in Brno (2008, Czech Republic).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>B<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">orn in Nysa in 1981, he graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the class of the piano taught by Professor Ewa Pob\u0142ocka (2006). In the years 2002-2004 he also studied under Professor Jerzy Sulikowski. At the same time he learned the harpsichord with Professor Urszula Bartkiewicz. In 2013 he completed his doctoral studies with the degree of Doctor of Musical Arts, and, in 2019 habilitation. In 2014, started working at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz as Assistant Professor as well as the dean of the Inter-Departmental Faculty of Piano Chamber Music. Additionally, Mr. Wezner works as the Chancellor of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paderewski Piano Academy <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in Bydgoszcz as well as the artistic director of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Music at the Blumwe Villa festival.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>B<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">art\u0142omiej Wezner\u2019s performing aesthetics has been influenced by master classes taught by such world-renowned artists as Maestro Jano\u0161 Starker, Stephen Kovacevich, Rapha\u00ebl Pidoux (Wanderer Trio), Ewa Podles\u0301, Kevin Kenner, Maja Nosowska, and Marcin Sikorski. He has performed with outstanding musicians: Vadim Brodski, Maria\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Machowska, Joanna Kreft, Agata Schmidt, and Ingrida G\u00e1pova. He is the pianist and the founder of the following ensembles: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BMF Piano Trio<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Herbert Piano Trio<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Surrealistic Five<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Together with his father and his siblings they form a unique family quartet <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wezner Ensemble<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. As a harpsichord player he has cooperated with the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Capella Bydgostiensis <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">chamber orchestra as well as early music ensemble <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Illo tempore<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. He has played in Poland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Sweden, Greece, Germany, Serbia, Montenegro, Switzerland, Great Britain, Italy and the United States. As a soloist he has performed with <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Capella Bydgostiensis<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the Torun\u0301 Symphony Orchestra, the Opole Philharmonic, the Lviv National Chamber Orchestra <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Akademia <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and the Bydgoszcz Philharmonics, among others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>I<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">n the past, he was the piano tutor at the Maestra Terasa Z\u0307ylis-Gara Vocal Master Course in the Radziejowice Palace (2008), Young Singers of Ma\u0142opolska workshops ran by Professors Helena \u0141azarska and Zofia Kilanowicz in Nowy Sa\u0328cz (2012), Thomas Hampson\u2019s Master Course at the Gorz\u00f3w Philharmonic (2014) as well as the official pianist of the 14th, 15th and 16th XIV, XV i XVI International Ada Sari Vocal Art Competition in Nowy Sa\u0328cz (2011, 2013, 2015), the 9th International Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw (2016), International Karol Szymanowski Competition in Katowice (2018) and 4th International Karol Lipin\u0301ski Violin Competition in Torun\u0301 (2019).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>M<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">r Wezner has been the recipient of the following scholarships from the following institutions: the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Piano Texas Festival and Academy <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in Fort Worth (2006, USA), the International <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dartington Summer School <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(2012, Great Britain), the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beethoven Haus <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in Bonn (2015, Germany) as well as the Marshall of the Kuyavyan-Pomeranian region (2011, 2012, 2017, 2020) and the Minister of Culture\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Young Poland scholarship <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(2012).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>T<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">he pianist is equally adept at the classical repertoire as well as the music of the 20th and 21st centuries. He has performed at world premier performances and recordings of compositions by Hanna Kulenty, Zbigniew Bargielski, Roxanna Panufnik, Marcin Masecki, and Micha\u0142 Dobrzyn\u0301ski, among others. Mr. Wezner\u2019s concerts have been broadcast by \u201eDw\u00f3jka\u201d Polish Radio and RTS Suiss, among others.
