Katarzyna Baszak was born on February 13, 1999 in Przemysl. She started to learn the violin at the age of 6 at the State Music School in Przemysl, where her teacher was Krzysztof Nowinski MA. She obtained her violin bachelor degree at the Karol Lipinski School of Music in Wroclaw, after studying with Prof. Jaroslaw Pietrzak and Magdalena Ziarkowska-Kolacka. In 2021, she started to study at the Feliks Nowowiejski School of Music in Bydgoszcz with Prof. Marcin Baranowski.

She was awarded prizes in numerous competitions, such as:

  • Special Prize at the 9th International Competition of Chamber Ensembles, Rzeszow 2014
  • 3rd Prize at the 10th Art-Duo Music Festival, Prague (Czech Republic) 2015
  • Prize for the Best Classical Quartet in Poland at the 6th All-Polish Chamber Music Festival for Primary and Secondary Music School Students “From MoCarta to Mozart”, Warsaw 2016
  • Honourable mention at the 3rd Warsaw Forum of Chamber Music, 2016
  • 1st Prize at the 3rd All-Polish Competition of Chamber Ensembles, “Making Music in Trzciana” 2016
  • Honourable mention at the All-Polish Competition of Chamber Ensembles “Around Mozart”, Krakow 2016
  • 3rd Prize at the 2nd Autumn Meetings of Chamber Ensembles for Primary and Secondary Music School Students, Zywiec 2016
  • 2nd Prize at the 10th International Competition of Chamber Ensembles, Rzeszow 2016
